The Chiesa di San Rocco — Barga, Tuscany
Set just above the ravine that divides old Barga in Tuscany from even older Barga, the Chiesa di San Rocco is a beautiful small church that remembers a dark time in Italian history and European history: the years of the Black Death. This was a time of horror in Europe. And the Church was often the only place where victims could find any comfort.
