In the movie Source Code, the Cloud Gate sculpture known as the Bean, appears repeatedly but, until the very end, only fleetingly and almost imperceptibly. But the entire flick is premised on something the Bean portends. I love the film and highly recommend it. Jake Gyllenhaal, Michelle Monaghan, Vera Farmiga, and Jeffrey Wright are all excellent. the script is taut, the pace perfect, the suspense is killer. When you get to the end, you've earned it. And for a moment, you think they have, too.
I’ve only tried to photograph the Bean a handful of times. This is one. This being Groundhog Day, the image, for me, suggests the many lives we might have lived . . . if only.
