Necking giraffes in the thorn brush of Tanzania

Giraffes on the Serengeti in Tanzania. Giraffe "necking" is often mistaken for affection, though it is usually a sign of competition between giraffe bachelors. It can be gentle or fierce. But between these two, the affection seemed genuine. We sat and watched for the longest time.
